How long does clear bra last?

Clear bra is guaranteed to last for 10 years without any manufacturer defects. This includes things like yellowing, delaminating, bubbling, and/or cracking.

The actual lifetime of clear bra is greatly determined by the type of care given, and by the amount of UV light the film has received. Other factors include the roads you drive on and even how long it is left without washing.

Will clear bra protect my vehicle in an accident?

Clear bra is made to withstand rock chips and even some small road debris from damaging your car’s paint. That being said, it is still a thin piece of plastic sitting at (8 mils in thickness). Throw anything big enough or hard enough at it and it will go through the clear bra and onto your paint. 

We have seen some scenarios where clear bra has protected a car’s paint after grazing a mailbox or even another car, but the amount of damage clear bra can withstand is relative to the size and the force behind the object in question.

Can clear bra be removed without damaging paint?

The are some limitations. Clear bra remains removable up to the warranty period originally stated by the manufacturer, anything after that point can cause the clear bra’s adhesive to permanently bond to the surface it was applied to.

How long does it take to install clear bra?

The answer to this question greatly depends on the size of the panel the film is being applied to, the size of the vehicle, and even complexity of the installation. 

On simple items like mirrors and headlights, it can take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes for each item.

Bumper covers alone can take between 1-2 hours depending on the complexity and amount of details required. Gloss black trim and carbon fiber accents greatly increase the amount of time required to complete a full installation.

When it comes to the packages we offer the installation can take anywhere from 3 to 40 hours in total.

We know the range of time is difficult to gauge if you’ve never worked with clear bra, so that is why we do our best to let you know how long the installation takes prior to us even arriving at your location.

Do you offer mobile clear bra installations?

Yes! We specialize in mobile clear bra applications and are equipped to do so.

If you opt for a mobile clear bra installation, the only thing we require from our customers is a garage that is spacious enough for us to work in with the door completely closed.

When it comes to clear bra installation, you need an area that doesn’t have air flow or a current of air coming into it. This is to reduce and minimize any dirt and dust particles from becoming embedded onto the clear bra’s adhesive. That is why all of our mobile clear bra installations are limited to homes with a garage.

If you don’t have a garage or your garage is not usable at the moment, and you want to schedule a mobile clear bra installation then we suggest asking around. We’ve had previous customers ask their friends, relatives, coworkers, and even neighbors. If you still can’t come up with a garage of your own then we suggest booking at our shop.

Some people may be inclined to refuse the use of their garage because they think clear bra installation is a dirty job or maybe even hazardous. However, clear bra installation is a clean installation because all we use to install the film is soap, water, alcohol, and some heat form a heat gun. That’s it. No crazy chemicals or sprays.

Is a garage required to install clear bra?

In order to provide you with the best service and without sacrificing our quality installs, an enclosed area is always required for our mobile clear bra installations. This is to reduce dirt, dust, and debris which can embed themselves in between the clear bra and the surface we are protecting.

If you do not have a garage, we offer all of our services at our shop.

Can you install clear bra outside?

It is not guaranteed to install clear bra outside. Any small breeze or gust can pick up dust and small dirt particles which could end up ruining the look of the installation.
