EXTERIOR DETAIL
The exterior detail is more than just a wash, anyone can wash a car. This detail is a deep wash designed to be more thorough than the wash you get at your nearby automated car wash. That being said, if you are looking for a fast and cheap wash, we will not be a good fit for you. We focus on bringing higher quality results by deep cleaning the rims and wheels, dressing the tires after getting cleaned, cleaning the door jambs, dressing any plastic cladding around your car, and following that with a 2-week spray wax. The whole process is laid out below in more detail, so go ahead and take a look!
For a full detail service, this service is best paired with a full interior detail and if your headlights are foggy, we also offer headlight restoration services. OUR EXTERIOR DETAIL PROCESS
1 - Wash Wheels & Tires
We start the whole process off by deep cleaning your car’s wheels and tires. This includes the barrel of the rim as well as the wheel wells. This is typically the dirtiest part of a car so we like to start strong.
2 - Remove Bugs and Bird Poop
We spot clean any bugs and bird poop to reduce any scratches that may happen if any scrubbing is needed.
3 - Wash and Rinse the Entire Car
We follow that up by applying soap to the car via foam cannon. We then lather and go over the whole vehicle with a wash mitt while letting the soap do most of the hard work. We minimize any scratches by using the 2-bucket method, and then we follow with a rinse.
4 - Apply Spray Wax
Once the whole car has been cleansed, we apply a 2-week spray wax to all panels and rinse the whole thing off once again.
5 - Dry the Whole Vehicle
We dry the entirety of the vehicle with microfiber towels.
6 - Clean All Exterior Glass
All windows and mirrors get cleaned on the outside. This includes sunroofs, rear-view mirrors, side, and rear windows.
7 - UV Protectants
We condition the plastic cladding (this is the rough-looking plastic that typically lines the tires and sometimes the bottom edge of a door) and we dress the tires with a satin finish tire shine.
8 - Final Inspection
We address any area we may have missed, or can improve on prior to delivering the car to you.
EXTERIOR DETAILING FAQS
Can you do mobile exterior detailing?
Yes! We specialize in mobile exterior detailing and are fully equipped to do so. We service any home or office with an accessible water spigot and electrical outlet.
Can you detail my car in any weather condition?
The most common answer we can give you is no. We cannot offer any mobile detailing when medium to high wind, rain, or snow is present. However, if you have a usable garage and are willing to let us use it, then we can work with you to complete the service you request.
What if I don’t have access to electricity or water?
At this time we do not have our own water or electricity, so that is the only thing we ask from you. We are working on this and will be able to service any location.
How long does an exterior detail take?
It usually takes us about 1 to 2 hours to complete the full exterior detail from start to finish.
