The ultimate headlight restoration process
This isn’t your “come back in a year to get it done again” sort of service. We don’t use a generic headlight repair kit that you find at your local auto parts store. We go through a full 8-step process with sanding, compounding, polishing, and world class UV protection process to offer the absolute best long lasting results. And when we say 10-year guarantee, we mean it. We are not banking of the possibility of you selling your vehicle shortly after you get your restoration. We use a proven process that has withstood the test of time.
1. Wet sand headlight with 800 grit
We start the process with 800 grit sandpaper to remove all the oxidation and any leftover clear coat from the lens
2. Wet sand headlight with 1000 grit
After the oxidation is removed, we use a finer 1000 grit sandpaper. The focus from here on out is to refine and remove the previous steps’ sanding marks
3. Wet sand headlight with 1500 grit
We follow up with a finer 1500 grit sandpaper. The focus is still to refine and remove 1000 grit sanding marks
4. Wet sand headlight with 2000 grit
We follow up with a finer 2000 grit sandpaper. The focus is still to refine and remove 1500 grit sanding marks
5. Wet sand headlight with 3000 grit
We follow up with a final step of wet sanding with 3000 grit sandpaper. The focus is still to refine and remove 2000 grit sanding marks
6. Compound the headlight
After the final wet sanding step, we compound the light to remove the wet sand marks and bring out the light’s optical clarity.
7. Polish the headlight
We polish the lights with a finishing polish to refine and to maximize the clarity of the headlight
8. UV protection
To seal the deal, we apply a UV protective film that guarantees the lights stay optically clear for 10-years without oxidizing, or yellowing

Depending on the size and the starting condition of your car’s headlights, a headlight restoration service can take anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours including the UV protectant.

The short answer is no. Headlights are on the leading edge of your car, meaning they take the brunt of everything our lovely Denver roads throw at them. That being said, rocks and other random road debris can chip away at your headlights causing permanent damage to the plastic housing. Although a 100% clarity outcome is unlikely, we do our absolute best to get your headlights back to their best possible clarity.

It is likely that your headlights will fog back up within MONTHS if you don’t apply any UV protection. That is why we offer ceramic coating and clear bra as UV protection. The ceramic coating we use is rated to last for up to a year. Clear bra is great at reducing UV damage to not only your headlights but to your car’s paintwork as well. Clear bra is able to give 10 years of UV protection plus the added benefit of rock chip protection.

Yes! We offer headlight restoration services and are fully equipped to do so. We service any home or office with a usable electrical power outlet and a garage that we can work in.

The most common answer we can give you is: no. We cannot offer any headlight restoration services with medium to high wind or if rain or snow is present. However, if you have a usable garage and are willing to let us use it, then we can work with you to complete the headlight restoration service.
